Not only are planting days the highlight of the Trees for Survival growing calendar, they are also an amazing opportunity for students to explore beyond their everyday environment – in essence an adventure! For some students, a day at a working farm with all the sights, sounds and smells is new. For others, getting dirty, finding worms and exploring the world beneath their feet is a thrill. For many, the outing will introduce them to people, jobs and ideas around environmental restoration that will have a positive influence on their futures.
